Booking Spa Appointments
Peak hours are often late afternoons and weekends (especially Saturday’s), so book as far in advance as possible in order to ensure getting the particular time, day, and therapist you desire. The easiest times to accommodate you are during off-peak hours, which are often in the mornings and mid-week. If you will be attending the spa with a gift certificate, it is a good idea to mention that at the time of booking, so that the spa can advise you of any policy that may affect its use.
Spa Gregorie’s cancellation policy for both spa and salon appointments is 24 hours. You must cancel, or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of the time it is scheduled in order to avoid being charged in full for your service amount. Our group cancellation policy is 48 hours. We require a valid credit card from all guests for any and all spa and salon appointments when you initially schedule your appointment(s); this is to hold the appointment against our cancellation policy.
Jewelry and Valuables
If possible, leave your jewelry at home as you will not need it for your day spa visit. If, however, you bring valuables to your visit, make certain that they are securely locked in your locker. If you choose instead to take them with you to your treatment, be mindful of not leaving them behind.
Communicating Your Preferences
All aspects of treatment can usually be modified to your taste. For example: the amount of light, type (or absence) of music, room temperature, and whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. If you want the therapist to go deeper or be more gentle, let him or her know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Your therapist will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, first tell the therapist. If the response isn’t helpful, ask to speak to a manager.
Pregnancy or Medical Conditions
Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns. Tell the technician if you’re wearing contact lenses before you have a facial.
Spa Gregorie’s provides natural, healthy refreshments for our guests to enjoy while in our spas and salons. However please note that food items may have come into contact with nuts as well as other common allergens. In addition, some of the products used in our treatments may contain ingredients contraindicated for those with various allergies. Be sure to mention any allergies when you book an appointment.
It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at our spa. There are several places you can change. Towels and robes are provided and can keep you continually covered. Therapists are well trained in the “art of draping” which means that they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheets, onto the massage table, and they keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are massaging. They also leave the treatment room before you get off of the table.
Sun and Spa Going
Try to avoid the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, the day after. And always wear sun protection!
Eating and Drinking
Try to refrain from eating for at least one hour before a treatment, and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Drink plenty of water before and afterward, especially if heat therapies, such as the hydrotherapy tub or steam room, are part of your spa experience.
Because the spa environment is supposed to be a tranquil and stress-reducing experience, it’s best to leave cell phones and pagers at home, or turn them off before entering the spa.
What to Wear During Treatment
When you arrive at the spa, you will be given a locker key, a luxurious robe, and a pair of slippers for your use while visiting. If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask the Spa Coordinator how you should be dressed for treatment. If you are having a hydrotherapy treatment, you may wish to bring a bathing suit, or use one of ours. If you are having a Thai Massage, please wear loose, stretch clothing. Again, we want to make sure that you are comfortable, so please let us know if you have questions.
When to Arrive and When to Leave
As a spa patron, you are welcome to stay at the spa as long as you like. Enjoy the quiet room, take a eucalyptus steam bath, linger to your heart’s desire… just make sure to allow enough time before and after your treatment to change clothes and enjoy any of our amenities. If this is your first visit, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your treatment so that we can get you checked in and familiar with Spa Gregorie’s. Please note, that in order to remain on schedule for all of our clients, we may shorten your treatment time if you are late for your appointment. The normal fee for treatment will remain the same.
To protect your health, and to allow our products to do their best for you, we recommend that you take a moment to shower before your treatment.
Male and Female Therapists are Available
Please let our Spa Coordinators know of any preferences you may have based on the gender of your therapist when you book your appointment.
Don’t Feel Pressure to Communicate with Your Therapist
In the spa, silence can be golden, and provide a relaxing and meditative atmosphere. If you feel like chatting, we’ll chat. But if you want to escape in silence, we wholeheartedly support you!
Spa Gregorie’s is a sanctuary for the body, the mind, and the eardrums! Please turn off the ringers on cell phones and pagers, and speak softly at a respectable level for those around you.
Your spa treatment fee does not include gratuities. Between 15 and 20 percent for each person who performed a service is customary, but you may of course leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. It’s easiest to leave the tip at the reception desk when you pay your bill rather than giving it directly to the therapist. We provide small tipping envelopes at the front desk, or you can add gratuity onto your credit card or personal check.
Please park where it is convenient for you at any of our Spa Gregorie’s locations. Be aware of permit only spaces or loading zones. Valet parking is available for your convenience at our Newport Beach location only.
All will agree, time is our most valuable asset. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. This gives the spa enough time to fill the slot. We pay therapists even if a client does not show up. “No shows” and late cancellations will be charged in full for the treatment scheduled.
If a check is refused by the bank, we will assess a $15 service charge.
Product Returns or Exchanges
We will gladly accept any retail product return for store credit, so long as the return is within 60 days of purchase and is accompanied with proof of purchase (receipt).
Spa Gregorie’s specializes in group functions, whether they are business-related, wedding parties, family reunions, or just friends. Ask to speak to our group coordinator at the Spa Gregorie’s near you for more information.
“Spa Gregories was fantastic in the way they managed our holiday ‘de-stress’ event and anticipated our every need.” – Debra Valle, Chapter Chair for Women President’s Organization
To maintain our serene atmosphere, we ask that you not bring children to the spa. We do, however, allow children to enjoy certain facial and nail treatments under the following guidelines: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and all children under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their initial consultation form. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to have any body treatments or massages. Unfortunately, no children under the age of 13 are permitted in the spa.
This is a Professional Spa Establishment
