Happiness has an Impact!

Words like “happiness” and “wellness” have long been used interchangeably, but more distinctions are being made between the two. Specifically – happiness can affect your wellness – they aren’t the same thing! In Global Wellness Summit’s Global Wellness Trends Report, they named “Wellness Meets Happiness” as a top trend in 2018. Here are the facts that we found most interesting from their report!

  • The World Happiness Report (155 countries surveyed) reveals a world with a mediocre 5/10 happiness score.
  • Happiness is no longer some frivolous concept, as evidence mounts that it has a powerful impact on everything from physical health to employee productivity.
  • Happiness cannot be reduced to physical health or GDP (“money”): while those are two key measures, all the happiness research concurs that strong social connections and community are the most fundamental components for happiness.

The last point is what really made an impact on us. Social connections and community are so important for our happiness! At Spa Gregorie’s we love to be a part of and give back to our community. As a staff we are like family, we treat our clients like family, and we know that a big part of our success is due to being part of a community that treats us like family too, so we love to give back! Next month we’ll be at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and we hope you’ll join us in the fight against breast cancer! We will have our annual pink booth, our Bake Sale for the Cure, and our Swag Bags for the Cure. All proceeds will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Save the date: Sunday, September 23rdat Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
