The new 1 ½ hour massage treatment invigorates mind and body through a synthesis of yoga postures, acupressure, and supported stretches. Thai massage expert, Janice Vitavec, trained the Spa Gregorie's team based upon her years of experience in the ancient healing art.

"This is my new favorite massage," says spa owner Angela Cortright. "I didn't leave the table feeling like a limp noodle or like I had been pummeled. I was relaxed, but I also felt completely invigorated."

Thai massage is a unique form of bodywork that incorporates hatha yoga, acupressure and reflexology. With origins dating back 2500 years, this unique form of massage focuses on pressure points, muscle stretching and compression to ease tensions stored deep within the body's tissues. Supported yoga postures, assisted stretches and rhythmic massage movements help to align the body's energy meridians, bringing harmony to mind, body and spirit.

Spa Gregorie's version of Thai massage is performed on the traditional massage table with the client fully clothed in loose-fitting garments. Trained by a Thai massage master, Spa Gregories therapists gently guide the body through a serious of stretches and yoga postures, coaxing the muscles to release through rhythmic rocking movements.

Thai massage provides a range of holistic benefits including pain relief, muscle strengthening, increased flexibility and improved circulation.
