Booking spa appointments

Peak hours are often late afternoons and weekends (especially Saturdays), so book as far in advance as possible in order to ensure getting a particular time, day, and therapist you want. It’s easiest to accommodate you during off-peak hours, which are often in the mornings and mid-week. If you will be attending the spa with a gift certificate, it is a good idea to mention it so that the spa can advise you of any policy that may affect its use. When booking an appointment online or by phone, you will be required to provide credit card information to hold your reservation. You are welcome to pay out any way you like.

Hours of Operation: Tuesday – Sunday 9am – 9pm, Monday 11am – 9pm.

Cancellation Policy

All will agree: time is our most valuable asset. At least 24 hours of notice is required in the event of a cancellation. This gives the day spa enough time to fill the slot.  “No shows” and late cancellations will be charged in full for the treatment scheduled. Our group cancellation policy is 48 hours. We require a valid credit card from all guests for any and all spa and salon appointments when you initially schedule your appointment(s); this is to hold the appointment against our cancellation policy.

Payment & Returned Checks

Spa Gregorie’s accepts all major credit cards, checks and cash for payment. If a check is refused by the bank, we will assess a $25 service charge.

Product Returns or Exchanges

We will gladly accept any retail product return for store credit so long as the return is within 30 days of purchase and is accompanied with proof of purchase.

Quiet, Please

Spa Gregorie’s is a sanctuary for the body, the mind, and the eardrums! Please turn off the ringers on cell phones and pagers, and speak softly. Because the day spa environment is supposed to be a tranquil and stress-reducing experience, it’s best to leave cell phones and pagers at home or turn them off before entering the day spa. Please do not bring children or infants into the spa.

Gratuities

Your Spa treatment fee does not include gratuities. Between 15 and 20 percent for each person who gave you a service is customary, but you may of course leave more or less, depending on the quality of the service. It’s easiest to leave the tip at the reception desk when you pay your bill rather than giving it directly to the therapist. We provide small tipping envelopes at the front desk or you can add gratuity onto your credit card or personal check.

Jewelry and Valuables

If possible, leave your jewelry at home as you will not need it for your day spa visit. If, however, you bring valuables to your visit, make certain that they are securely locked in your locker. If you choose instead to take them with you to your treatment, be mindful of not leaving them behind. Spa Gregorie’s will not be responsible for any lost or stolen possessions.

Communicating your preferences

All aspects of treatment can usually be modified to your taste: amount of light, presence or absence of music, room temperature, and whether or not you choose to have a conversation or enjoy the treatment in silence. If you want the therapist to go deeper or be gentler, let him or her know. Also, feel free to ask questions. Your therapist will appreciate knowing your thoughts and clarifying any issues you may have. If any part of your experience is unsatisfactory, first tell the therapist. If the response isn’t helpful, ask to speak to a supervisor.

Allergies

Spa Gregorie’s provides natural, healthy refreshments for our guests to enjoy while in our spas and salons.  However please note that food items may have come into contact with nuts as well as other common allergens.  In addition, some of the products used in our treatments may contain ingredients contraindicated for those with various allergies.  Be sure to mention any allergies when you book an appointment.

Pregnancy or Medical conditions

Be sure to mention any medical information when you book an appointment. Certain treatments may not be advisable for you. Also, before your treatment begins, let your therapist or esthetician know of any medical concerns. Tell the technician if you’re wearing contact lenses before you have a facial.

Modesty issues

It is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone at our day spa. There are several places you can change. Towels and robes are provided and can keep you continually covered. Therapists are well trained in the “art of draping” which means that they leave the treatment room while you get under the sheet on the massage table, and they keep you covered at all times except for the area of the body they are massaging. They also leave the treatment room before you get up from the table.

Sun and spa going

Try to avoid the sun on the day of treatment and, in some cases, the day after. And always wear sun protection!

Eating and drinking

Try not to eat for at least an hour before a treatment, and avoid the consumption of alcohol on the day of a treatment. Drink plenty of water before and afterward, especially if heat therapies, such as the hydrotub or steam room, are part of your day spa experience.

What to wear during treatment

When you arrive at the Spa, you will be given a locker key, a luxurious robe, and a pair of slippers for your use while visiting the Spa. If you are having a treatment for the first time, feel free to ask the Spa Coordinator how you should be dressed for treatment. If you are having a hydrotherapy treatment, you may wish to bring a bathing suit, or use one of ours. Again, we want to make sure that you are comfortable, so please let us know if you have questions.

When to arrive and when to leave

As a Spa patron, you are welcome to stay at the Spa as long as you like. Enjoy the quiet room, relax in the infrared sauna, take a steam bath, linger to your heart’s desire… just make sure to allow enough time before and after your treatment to change clothes and enjoy any of our amenities. If this is your first visit, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your treatment so that we can get you checked in and familiar with Spa Gregorie’s. In order to remain on schedule for all our clients, we may shorten your treatment time if you are late for your appointment. The normal fee for treatment will remain the same.

Shower Fresh

To protect your health and to allow our products to do their best for you, we recommend that you take a moment to shower before your treatment.

Male and Female therapists are available

Please let our Spa Coordinators know of any preferences you may have when you book your appointment.

Don’t feel pressure to communicate with your therapist

In the Spa, silence can be golden and provide a relaxing and meditative atmosphere. If you feel like chatting, we’ll chat. But if you want to escape in silence, we wholeheartedly support you!

Parking

Please park where it is convenient for you at any of our Spa Gregorie’s locations. Parking can be extremely busy, so please allow extra time to find parking. Be aware of permit only spaces or loading zones. Valet parking is available for your convenience at our Newport Beach location only, but we do NOT validate.

Spa Packages

Regarding Package substitutions, upgrades and splitting:

~ 1 substitution is allowed per package, as long as it is of equal or higher value to the service being substituted. No discount is offered on the substituted service; the service will be rung out at full retail price.

~ Packages are to be paid in full at the time of your visit to the spa. However if you choose not to receive all package services during your visit, we are happy to add the balance of any unused portion to your account.  This balance can then be used towards any regularly full priced service(s) in the future.

~ All packages are already discounted and cannot be used in conjunction with coupons, Spa Finder, Spa Wish, or any other gift certificate not purchased directly from Spa Gregorie’s.

~ As always, you can create own custom spa package of 6 or more services at 10% off a la carte pricing.  Ask to speak with a spa coordinator for more details.

Groups

Spa Gregorie’s specializes in group functions, whether they are business-related, wedding parties, family reunions, or just friends. Ask to speak to our group coordinator for more information.

Children

To maintain our serene atmosphere, we ask that you not bring children to the Spa. We do, however allow children to enjoy certain facial and nail treatments under the following guidelines: Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and all children under the age of 18 must have an adult sign their initial consultation form. Children under the age of 18 are not permitted to have any body treatments or massages. Unfortunately no children under the age of 13 are permitted in the spa.

This is a professional Spa establishment

Our trained therapists and aestheticians are here solely to help improve your health, body and psyche. If a therapist ever feels that a client is behaving inappropriately, they are authorized to stop the treatment immediately.
